NORTH 61 & THE VINCENT HAYES PROJECT NEEDS YOUR HELP NOW! The Vincent Hayes Project will be returning to Glen Brown Productions within the coming weeks to begin recording their follow up CD to Reclamation. Unfortunately, this is going to cost in the neighborhood of $30,000 to pull off a successful release from start to finish (including studio costs, producer, engineer, graphic artists, production, marketing, licensing fees, etc). As an independent label supporting independent musicians, we are asking YOU, the fans and other folks in the industry who believe in us, to offer your support of our new Kickstarter campaign by purchasing an advance copy of the new CD before February 27, 2012. If we can get just 1,000 people to reserve their advance signed copy with a $25 dollar pledge, we can even exceed our goal, in which case we'll be buying The Vincent Hayes Project anew touring vehicle. We need this campaign to go viral and reach as many people as possible, so please share this link and copy the "embed" code from the Kickstarter widget to the left! Also, be sure to sign up for the newsletter or check The Vincent Hayes Project's Facebook page for updates on our progress. Thanks a zillion for your support! |

Welcome to north 61 records
North 61 Records & Productions LLC is firmly committed to representing and promoting the very best of today's independent modern blues, roots and experimental artists. It is our goal to create an identity for quality independent music by taking full advantage of modern technologies available for distribution and promotion. We believe that artists have the right to make the majority of profit from their music, and this becomes a real possibility when modern methods of promotion and distribution are exploited by the artists. North 61 is here to act as a model for the "New Label", as a co-opt of sorts between the musicians, photographers, artists, sound engineers and graphic designers, where collaboration is not only encouraged, but an agreed upon code of ethics, so that we all get something back from our efforts. We offer guidance for those who are in this business of music because it's the only thing they know how to do; the passionate ones who understand that what it all comes down to is the stories in the songs, and that it doesn't mean shit if it's not from the heart. Simply put, North 61 is a "non-label" sort of label run by artists FOR artists. Like the legendary Highway 61 of old, North 61 is heading toward the new frontier in the music industry, and looking up toward the horizon at all there is to discover on the road ahead. Namaste'.
